“My dog, Stevie and I met Abby while looking for barn hunt lessons. Previous to meeting Abby we had done a few introductions to ratting but Stevie didn’t see zero value in finding the rat so she became distracted quickly when searching.
Abby showed my dog, Stevie how fun it is to actually search for the rat and once Stevie learned how fun the search was Barn Hunt quickly become one of her favorite sports. Thanks to Abby’s creative and playful ways of teaching Stevie and I recently earned our RATM title. In under a year of competing Stevie has earned her RATN, RATO, RATS, RATM and CZ8S titles, all 1st and 2nd place runs.

“We met Abby through a Barn Hunt try it where we wanted to learn more about the game. My dog seemed love scent based games so we started taking barn hunt lessons with Abby. Within a handful of lessons we went from near zero alert on the rats to it becoming his most favorite thing on earth. Abby unlocked his drive and helped mold him into an incredible hunter. We encountered some behaviors that needed troubleshooting along the way (tube/scent discrimination) and Abby helped creatively assess and address them. We’ve also taken some mantrailing clinics with her that made my dog and I fall even more in love with scent based dog sports. Abby has a great way of tuning her training and handler instruction to suit the team in front of her, not a one size fits all type of approach.
